TERMS & CONDITIONS / SERVICE AGREEMENT
IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE
Online Movers is committed to providing professional, organized, transparent, and customer-focused moving and storage services. The purpose of this document is to clearly explain pricing, operational procedures, customer responsibilities, valuation coverage, payment obligations, storage conditions, liability limitations, and important expectations associated with moving and storage services.
By approving an estimate, paying a deposit, signing moving documents, scheduling services, or accepting services from Online Movers (“Carrier”), the customer (“Customer,” “Shipper,” or “Resident”) acknowledges and agrees to all terms contained herein.
These Terms & Conditions apply to:
- Residential moves
- Commercial moves
- Local moves
- Intrastate moves
- Packing services
- Storage services
- White-glove moving services
- Temporary relocation projects
- Labor-only services
- Specialty item transportation
Services are performed pursuant to:
- Florida Statutes Chapter 507
- Applicable FMCSA regulations
- Miami-Dade County consumer protection ordinances
- Applicable state and federal transportation laws
SECTION 1 — OUR COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMERS
Online Movers USA strives to provide:
- Professional moving crews
- Clear communication
- Transparent pricing
- Careful handling of belongings
- Efficient scheduling
- Organized moving operations
- Professional packing and protection
- Respectful customer service
While Online Movers USA takes reasonable precautions to protect customer belongings, moving and transportation services inherently involve risk due to:
- Vibration during transportation
- Building access limitations
- Tight hallways/staircases
- Fragile furniture construction
- Weight distribution
- Weather conditions
- Traffic conditions
- Structural weaknesses
- Manufacturer defects
- Pre-existing damage
Customers acknowledge that not all risks can be fully eliminated during moving and storage operations.
SECTION 2 — ESTIMATES, PRICING & ADDITIONAL CHARGES
NON-BINDING ESTIMATES
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all estimates are NON-BINDING and based on the inventory and information provided before the move date.
Final pricing may vary depending on:
- Additional items not disclosed
- Additional packing services
- Stair carries
- Elevator delays
- Long carries
- Shuttle services
- Waiting time
- Building restrictions
- Oversized or overweight items
- Specialty handling
- Storage requirements
- Difficult access conditions
- Additional labor
- Additional packing materials
- Last-minute changes
- Delays outside Carrier control
Customers are responsible for accurately disclosing:
- Complete inventory
- Oversized items
- Specialty items
- Access conditions
- Stair/elevator requirements
- Parking restrictions
- Building requirements
- HOA requirements
- Loading dock reservations
Failure to disclose relevant conditions prior to service may result in additional charges.
WAITING TIME
Waiting time charges may apply when delays occur due to:
- Elevator unavailability
- Building restrictions
- Delayed customer arrival
- Parking limitations
- Access issues
- Incomplete packing
- Third-party delays
Waiting time may be billed at the applicable hourly rate listed on the estimate or work order.
PAYMENT TERMS
Accepted payment methods include:
- Cash
- Zelle
- Bank Wire
- Major Credit Cards
- Debit Cards
Credit/debit card transactions are subject to a 4% processing fee.
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Past-due balances may accrue:
- Interest charges
- Collections costs
- Attorney fees where permitted by law
- Storage charges
- Redelivery fees
LIEN RIGHTS & PAYMENT DEFAULT
Carrier reserves a possessory lien on all transported and/or stored goods until all balances are paid in full pursuant to Florida Statutes Chapter 507 and applicable lien laws.
Failure to make payment may result in:
- Storage holds
- Suspension of delivery
- Additional storage charges
- Collections activity
- Interest charges
- Redelivery fees
- Lien enforcement proceedings
- Lawful sale or auction of goods pursuant to Florida law
Customers understand that storage charges continue accruing while balances remain unpaid.
Carrier shall not release goods until:
- Payment has fully cleared
- Outstanding balances are satisfied
- Chargebacks/disputed payments are resolved
SECTION 3 — DEPOSITS, CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Deposits are refundable when cancellations are made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled move date.
Cancellations made within 72 hours may result in:
- Cancellation fees
- Deposit forfeiture
- Reserved labor fees
- Operational scheduling fees
Rescheduling requests are subject to:
- Operational availability
- Truck availability
- Crew availability
- Seasonal demand
Additional charges may apply for last-minute rescheduling requests.
SECTION 4 — CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers are responsible for:
- Reserving elevators/loading docks when required
- Obtaining parking permits when necessary
- Securing pets during moving operations
- Ensuring hallways/pathways are safe and clear
- Disconnecting electronics/appliances unless otherwise agreed
- Removing wall-mounted TVs prior to move day
- Preparing packed items before arrival
- Providing legal parking access
- Being present during pickup and delivery
- Verifying inventory and item conditions
An adult age 18 or older must be present during services.
Carrier is not responsible for delays or damages caused by:
- Unsafe working conditions
- Blocked access
- Elevator restrictions
- Parking limitations
- Building management delays
- HOA restrictions
SECTION 5 — PACKING SERVICES & CUSTOMER-PACKED BOXES
Unless professional packing services are purchased, customers remain responsible for properly packing personal belongings and fragile contents.
Customers should:
- Properly seal boxes
- Avoid overpacking containers
- Wrap fragile items securely
- Clearly label boxes
- Use appropriate packing materials
Carrier is not responsible for:
- Internal damage to customer-packed boxes
- Improper packing
- Overloaded boxes
- Unsealed containers
- Leaking items
- Liquids packed improperly
- Hidden fragile contents
- Previously damaged items
Carrier reserves the right to:
- Refuse unsafe boxes
- Repack improperly packed items
- Charge additional packing/material fees when necessary
SECTION 6 — VALUABLES, CASH & SENSITIVE ITEMS
Customers are strongly encouraged to personally transport valuable, irreplaceable, or sensitive items whenever possible.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Cash
- Currency
- Jewelry
- Watches
- Rolex watches
- Luxury handbags
- Designer items
- Important documents
- Passports
- Birth certificates
- Social Security cards
- Medications
- Prescription drugs
- Family heirlooms
- Collectibles
- Coins
- Firearms
- Ammunition
- Legal documents
- Tax records
- Sentimental items
Carrier is not responsible for:
- Missing valuables packed unknowingly
- Undeclared valuables
- Sentimental value
- Emotional value
- Loss involving prohibited or undisclosed items
SECTION 7 — TELEVISIONS, ELECTRONICS & DATA STORAGE DEVICES
Customers are strongly encouraged to personally transport televisions smaller than 40 inches whenever possible.
Smaller televisions are more vulnerable to:
- Screen cracking
- Pressure damage
- Internal panel fractures
- Pixel damage
- Transportation vibration
Customers are also strongly encouraged to personally transport sensitive electronic devices including:
- Desktop computers
- Gaming computers
- Laptops
- MacBooks
- Tablets
- iPads
- External hard drives
- NAS systems
- Servers
- Routers/modems
- Printers
- Monitors
- Gaming consoles including:
- PlayStation
- Xbox
- Nintendo Switch
- VR systems
- DJ equipment
- Studio equipment
- Audio systems
- Cryptocurrency mining equipment
- Smart home systems
- Camera systems
- Surveillance equipment
- Data storage devices
Customers are solely responsible for:
- Backing up all electronic data
- Disconnecting electronic devices unless otherwise agreed
- Reconnecting and testing electronics after delivery
Online Movers USA is NOT responsible for:
- Data loss
- Corrupted files
- Software issues
- Internal malfunctions
- Calibration problems
- Connectivity issues
- Hard drive failures
- Pixel damage
- Internal screen fractures
- Power supply failures
- Hidden/internal damage not externally visible
- Manufacturer defects
- Mechanical failures after transport
Liability applies only to visible external physical damage directly caused during handling and documented at delivery.
SECTION 8 — FURNITURE, MARBLE & SPECIALTY ITEMS
Furniture made from:
- Particle board
- Pressed wood
- Laminate
- Veneer
- MDF
- Ready-to-assemble materials
carries increased risk during transportation and reassembly.
This includes brands/items such as:
- IKEA furniture
- Wayfair furniture
- Flat-pack furniture
- Adjustable beds
- Sleep Number beds
- Pressed wood shelving
Carrier is not responsible for:
- Structural weakness
- Loose fasteners
- Warping
- Chipping
- Cracking
- Manufacturer defects
- Damage caused by normal transportation stress
MARBLE, GLASS & STONE ITEMS
The following items carry inherent transportation risks:
- Marble tables
- Granite tops
- Stone furniture
- Glass tables
- Acrylic furniture
- Slate items
- Large mirrors
- Chandeliers
Due to weight, vibration, and structural fragility, Carrier cannot guarantee against:
- Hairline fractures
- Internal stress cracks
- Surface imperfections
- Structural failures
unless directly caused by gross negligence.
SECTION 9 — VALUATION & LIABILITY COVERAGE
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT VALUATION COVERAGE
Valuation coverage is NOT the same as traditional insurance coverage.
Valuation determines the maximum amount of liability the Carrier may assume in the event of loss or damage.
Customers are strongly encouraged to review all valuation options carefully before services begin.
OPTION 1 — STANDARD LIABILITY COVERAGE (Included / Default)
This is the basic released valuation coverage required under federal law pursuant to 49 CFR Part 375.
Coverage is limited to:
$0.60 per pound per article
Examples:
- 10 lb lamp = maximum liability of $6.00
- 30 lb television = maximum liability of $18.00
- 200 lb dining table = maximum liability of $120.00
This limitation applies regardless of:
- Actual value
- Replacement cost
- Sentimental value
- Age
- Rarity
- Original purchase price
By selecting this option, the customer acknowledges and agrees that Carrier liability is limited to the released valuation calculation described above.
OPTION 2 — OMS PROTECTION PLAN (Included at No Additional Cost)
As a customer-service enhancement, Online Movers USA may, at its sole discretion, repair, replace, or settle qualifying claims based on depreciated value or current market value rather than the minimum released valuation amount.
Current market value may be determined using:
- Facebook Marketplace
- Craigslist
- OfferUp
- eBay
- Comparable resale platforms
Carrier reserves the right to:
- Repair items before replacement
- Replace items with comparable used items
- Offer depreciated-value settlements
- Deny claims involving pre-existing damage
- Deny claims involving improper packing
- Deny claims involving particle-board weakness
- Deny claims involving concealed/internal damage
This plan does NOT constitute full replacement insurance or a traditional insurance policy.
OPTION 3 — FULL REPLACEMENT VALUE PROTECTION (THIRD-PARTY INSURANCE)
Customers seeking full replacement protection are strongly encouraged to purchase independent third-party moving insurance prior to the move date.
Online Movers USA does NOT provide full replacement insurance coverage and shall not be liable beyond the terms described under Options 1 and 2.
Third-party insurance providers may offer:
- Full replacement protection
- Deductible-based coverage
- Transit protection
- Storage protection
- High-value article riders
- Catastrophic loss protection
Customers are solely responsible for reviewing and purchasing any desired additional insurance coverage before services begin.
HIGH-VALUE ARTICLES
Any item valued at more than $100 per pound must be declared in writing before transportation begins.
Examples include:
- Fine art
- Antiques
- Designer furniture
- Watches
- Jewelry
- Collectibles
- Luxury electronics
- Musical instruments
Undeclared high-value items may be limited to standard released valuation coverage only.
Carrier reserves the right to refuse transportation of undeclared high-value items.
SECTION 10 — STORAGE TERMS
Storage services are billed monthly unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Storage access requests may require:
- Advance notice
- Scheduling coordination
- Additional handling fees
- Redelivery fees
Unless specifically stated otherwise in writing, storage facilities may NOT be climate-controlled.
Carrier is not responsible for damage caused by:
- Humidity
- Mold
- Mildew
- Rust
- Corrosion
- Temperature fluctuations
- Pest activity
- Natural deterioration
- Acts of God
- Flooding
- Weather-related conditions
STORAGE HOLDS & ABANDONED PROPERTY
Unpaid storage balances may result in:
- Storage holds
- Lien enforcement
- Auction
- Disposal of goods
- Lawful sale of goods pursuant to Florida law
Storage charges continue accruing while balances remain unpaid.
Carrier reserves the right to terminate storage agreements with proper written notice where applicable.
SECTION 11 — PROHIBITED ITEMS
Carrier will not knowingly transport:
- Illegal substances
- Explosives
- Flammable materials
- Hazardous chemicals
- Biohazards
- Perishable food
- Live plants
- Currency
- Firearms or ammunition unless disclosed and approved in writing
Customers assume responsibility for prohibited items unknowingly packed or transported.
SECTION 12 — WEATHER, DELAYS & FORCE MAJEURE
Carrier shall not be responsible for delays, interruptions, or damages caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control including:
- Hurricanes
- Flooding
- Severe weather
- Traffic accidents
- Road closures
- Elevator outages
- Building restrictions
- Mechanical breakdowns
- Government actions
- Labor shortages
- Natural disasters
Arrival windows are estimates only and are not guaranteed appointment times.
SECTION 13 — CLAIMS PROCEDURE
Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 60 days of discovery.
Claims must include:
- Photographs
- Supporting documentation
- Proof of ownership/value if requested
Carrier reserves the right to:
- Inspect damaged items
- Repair items before replacement
- Offer depreciated-value settlements
- Replace with comparable used items
Claims involving the following may be denied:
- Customer-packed boxes
- Concealed damage
- Pre-existing damage
- Manufacturer defects
- Particle-board weakness
- Internal electronic malfunctions
- Improper packing
Claims should be submitted to:

SECTION 14 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Carrier shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages
- Consequential damages
- Emotional distress
- Hotel expenses
- Missed work
- Delayed occupancy
- Business interruption
- Loss of use
- Delay-related damages
- Lost profits
Maximum liability shall not exceed the valuation coverage selected by the customer.
SECTION 15 — GOVERNING LAW & VENUE
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Venue for disputes shall lie exclusively in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
SECTION 16 — CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By signing, approving an estimate, paying a deposit, scheduling services, or accepting services, the customer acknowledges:
- Receipt of these Terms & Conditions
- Understanding of valuation coverage
- Understanding of liability limitations
- Understanding of storage terms
- Understanding of electronics limitations
- Understanding of payment/lien rights
- Understanding of claims procedures
- Agreement to all terms contained herein

Electronics Coverage Disclaimer (Performance Limitation)
Online Movers & Storage is not responsible for internal performance or operability of electronic items such as televisions, computers, gaming consoles, stereo systems, printers, or similar devices, regardless of their external condition upon delivery.
All electronics must be:
- Properly packed in their original manufacturer packaging, or
- Professionally packed by our trained team (if coverage was purchased).
If these conditions are not met, claims for non-functional or damaged electronics will not be honored.
Note: The functionality of electronics cannot be verified before the move, and liability is limited to visible external damage only.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when booking services.
- Be present or designate a representative during the move.
- Secure fragile, high-value, or personal items separately.
- Follow all building or HOA moving rules and schedules.
7. Prohibited Items
For safety and regulatory reasons, we do not transport:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, explosives, flammable substances)
- Perishable food
- Illegal substances
- Live animals or plants (unless specifically arranged in advance)
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes related to our services should first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, they will be handled in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
